‘Less is more’ rings true for Neil, the owner of a semi-detached house in Twickenham. The successful loft conversion created an impeccable new bedroom and open plan bathroom, and he’s delighted to have a home that’s more energy efficient too!

The Project

The owner of a house in Twickenham, Neil wished to generate additional living space in his semi-detached property. With an inkling of what the new space would look like in terms of design, he sought a company that would work in tandem with him to accomplish his vision. Neil desired something more than a standard loft conversion. He envisaged a room that would make a statement: a room that would exude quality, luxury and style. However, the most important factor for Neil was to create a room that would offer an incredible sense of space.

Distinctively, Neil was determined to reduce energy bills and invest in green energy. Therefore, as finding the best green technology for a home requires careful consideration, the company would also offer advice on how to create a home that was more energy efficient. In his quest to bring his unique vision for the new loft conversion to life, he contacted Landmark Lofts.

Our Approach

We were delighted to work closely with Neil to create a design for his loft which suited him. We delivered a tailored solution, focusing on maximising space and using products renowned for their durability and visual appeal. Having a more sustainable solution for this home's energy use was important, so this build included the installation of a solar hot water system on the roof.

Pleased with the level of service, Neil says:

"The Landmark Lofts project manager and the build team did an excellent job for us. Our project was completed on time, to budget and to a high standard. We are delighted with our new loft."

The Result

Adding over 400 square feet of extra space to his elegant semi-detached house, the hip-to-gable dormer conversion created a retreat with a flawless finish. Neil is ecstatic to have a new room and freestanding bathtub in his property, as well as a home that’s more energy efficient. The generously-sized bathtub reveals a pristine finish. Although a distinctive feature of the new room, it doesn’t outshine but stands complementary to the room.

A large Velux window over the bed and the double French doors that overlook the back garden allow light to flood the room, in harmony with Neil’s ‘open space’ them. The unique layout and colour scheme of this gorgeous loft conversion represent elegance and style, complementing the sophisticated décor of the rest of his beautiful home.
